April Moton is a 23 year old Wilcox County native who moved to Birmingham in search of greater opportunities. Throughout her time living in the Magic City she has established herself as a leader, role model, and overall young professional with a promising career and a passion for helping and connecting with others to promote rehabilitation in the field of law enforcement. April obtained her Bachelors of Science degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Throughout her undergraduate experience, she was able to be a part of a multitude of on campus organizations, such as the Iota Phi chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, TRIO Academic and Student Services, Freshman Forum (SGA) and the Omega Tau chapter of Alpha Kappa Psi Professional Business Fraternity. April is now furthering her education at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in efforts to obtain her Masters in Criminal Justice, and Public Administration as well as serving as the Community Outreach Coordinator of the Birmingham founded organization, Regenerate Society, Incorporated.
