JOB DESCRIPTION

The Community Outreach Coordinator (COC) is the lead coordinator and executor of the organization’s goals and values in community outreach and service.  The COC’s main responsibility is to be aware of the values and ideals of the organization as well as the needs of the surrounding areas and communities and look to service those affected areas in ways that continue progressing the organization’s overall goals.  Impact is the one main goals that should be focused on by the COC and achieving the greatest impact is should be the COC’s task on levels (individual, community, and overall). Networking and connecting the organization with other highly reputable organization is also a goal that should be focused on by the COC to achieve the highest level of effectiveness.

Community Impact. The COC is responsible for the organizational impact of the Regenerate Society in the community, with particular emphasis on initiatives and service projects that aid the community. The COC works closely with the CEO to craft and adapt the strategy to achieve this increased impact, including raising the funds to support the service initiatives of the organization.

Community Network. The COC serves as the principal resource between the Regenerate Society and other organizations that look to achieve the same impact in the surrounding communities. The COC partners with the administrative staff to craft organizational goals and develop strategies to ensure that they are achieved. Employee ensures coordination and alignment of all the Regenerate Society’s activities to strategic direction in the areas of community impact, resource development, and staff alignment.

Position. Employee shall be the general manager for all volunteers working under the organization with full power and authority to manage and conduct all of the business of Employer, subject to review by the Chief Executive Officer of Employer.

Extent of Services. Employee shall diligently and conscientiously devote his/her entire time, attention and energies to Employer’s business and shall not, during the term of full-time employment of this Agreement, pursue or be actively engaged in any other business activity that conflicts or competes with the mission and vision of the Employer. Employee is permitted to passively invest in projects as she sees fit, and derive income therefrom. Employee understands and agrees that his/her position entails certain responsibilities, which might require him/her to work in excess of forty (40) hours per week. The hours worked in excess of forty (40), shall not be compensated by Employer. Employer may, at its discretion, grant Employee compensatory or administrative time off.

Duties. Under the general direction of the CEO, the COC shall be responsible for the operation and the general management of Employer’s volunteer activities and services. Her specific duties and responsibilities shall include the following:

  1. Provide insight and direction to the organization in regards to where the focus of its communal service efforts should direct.
  2. Work with the Administrative Staff to develop and implement policies, procedures, and long- range strategic plans for community development.
  3. Create and design initiatives based around the visions and ideals of the organization and create plans that aid in the execution of such.
  4. Work alongside the Chief of Member Development to forecast new goals and stimulate volunteer involvement in the execution of each goal.
