We’ve been STRIPPED

This women’s month (March 2022) we decided to dive into the woman dominated, controversial world of pole dancing. We held interviews of women from a variety of backgrounds and even held a free pole session with a in-depth discussion at the end! Check out our YouTube Page to hear some of the interviews!

Season Launch!

2021 is over which means it’s time to for our season launch! We have so much in store for you all! We hope you’re ready because we are!

Rookie Month!

In October of 2021, we welcomed our new members into the organization! These member make up the new Rookie class and they are in charge of bringing you Rookie Month!

UAB Focus Film Festival

We have partnered with UAB Student media to help promote a festival geared toward providing a platform for young Black independent film makers.

In December of 2021, we spent the day with Chris Carr & The Homeless In Birmingham Collective for some Christmas Eve Service! We helped to distribute 350 Christmas Stockings full of necessities for people in need!

In November of 2021, we partnered with the Carlos Chaverst Foundation to pass out over 150 Thanksgiving dinners to member s of the community! Thanks to Ms. Jett and Carlos Chaverst, Jr. for letting us come serve!

In November of 2021, we partnered with Old Sardis Baptist Church and Erika Perry of Youth Talk to giveaway over 100 turkeys to the neighborhood for Thanksgiving!

In November of 2021 we served with the Community Care Development Network to help prepare 330 food boxes for their distribution day!

We started off November with service at the Christian Service Mission where we helped package 600 boxes of food that was given out for Thanksgiving!

To close out October 2021, we went to R.C Hemphill Elementary to paint pumpkins with their 2nd graders. Special thanks to Leticia Watkins!

In October of 2021 we worked with Friends of Shades Creek to collect 6 large bags of trash along the Brookwood Village community.

This year we were blessed to work with Alabama Power to present a member of UAB BMEN a scholarship in the amount of $1,500 at UAB Black Alumni Weekend

We had so much fun starting out October by participating in a Fitness Challenge put on by UAB Black Alumni Weekend!

September of 2021, we were invited by Chris Carr and The Homeless in Birmingham to help distribute toiletries, food and clothes.

Late August 2021, our CEO was able to help paint the new mural on 4th Ave North and 17th Street commissioned by Urban Impact.

In August 2021, we served at the Modern Green Book’s Culture and Community Fest at Legion Field and got to see member Derrion Parish perform!

July 2021- We took our annual Purpose Retreat on the road! We spent the weekend bonding and learning about how we were “Created for Community” in Nashville, Tennessee.

July 2021- Our Rookies planned and hosted their first event! They partnered with The Flourish Alabama to showcase the many talents that Birmingham has to offer from all different mediums and genres!

Late June, 2021 we joined 957Jamz for their community cleanup in Brownsville Heights Community Center where we filled 9 large bags with trash from the community.

For Juneteenth 2021, we served at the Parade and Festival put on by the National Juneteenth Observance Foundation of Alabama! We donated 160 water bottles to NJOF and passed them out.

May 2021- To end Women’s Month, we decided to have a bonding sleepover with the members of RS! We spent the night laughing, eating, and talking!

Another part of Women’s Month involved us digitally highlighting different women in the Birmingham community who are doing impressive work!

As part of our Gym Tour, for Women’s month there were two fitness classes put on by local female instructors. This included a heels class and gym workout class.

For the month of February, we went to 4 different fitness centers to start 2021 off right with our Gym Tour!

We ended January with a crowd-controlled, COVID safe entrepreneurship panel called “What’s Your Worth”. At this event, successful business leaders came to share their tips and journey.

The last part of MLK Week included our members partnering with The Carlos Chaverst Foundation to provide free gas to over 200 people here in the local area neighborhood!

Another part of MLK Day included our members and volunteers clearing out some of the inside of Wilson Elementary and help plant new vegetables for the upcoming year!

Early January 2021, we launched our event season and shared information about our organization!

To begin MLK Week, we joined 25 other volunteers to pick up over 1000 items of trash that spanned 10 blocks of the City of Center Point.

We ended 2020 helping Christian Service Mission to assist United Way’s Meals on Wheels. Members Markail Mitchell and Reggie Seals helped package meals to take to the elderly during the pandemic.

December 2020 we were invited to serve at Carlos Chaverst’s Toy Distribution. We served pizza, worked check-in, and facilitated pictures with Santa, all while seeing the joy on the children’s (and parent’s) faces.

November 2020- We joined 957Jamz, 987Kiss FM, Keep Birmingham Beautiful, and Jefferson County Community for Economic Opportunity in cleaning up the community at Hooper City Park & Recreational Center! We cleaned up 12 bags worth of trash!

September 2020- We were given the opportunity to have a voter registration table at a local peaceful protest for Social Justice, this protest was put on by volunteer and Samford football player Justin Hayes.

One of our partners, Christian Service Mission, needed assistance in sorting and packing through goods from their warehouse to be distributed to the community later, so our members gave them a helping hand

April 2020 – We packed up 4 cars of food provided by Christian Service Mission to deliver to Pastor Johnathan Woods with All Nations Church! They have been serving food to 250-500 people everyday who have been impacted by local area school closings

The beginning of April 2020, some of our volunteers went to the Christian Service Mission to help deliver groceries to the elderly.

All throughout February 2020, we hosted a Health & Fitness Challenge that focused on fostering an encouraging atmosphere for beginners to start their health journey. We worked out weekly as a group and had a virtual health challenge

December 2019, we packed up 4 cars of food provided by We partnered up with dancer Clean Cut Chris to collect food for the homeless through a dance workshop for his birthday!

June 2019- We put on Juneteenth at UAB’s Mini Park, over 500 people came out to enjoy free food, music, games, art and information on the celebration of true African American freedom

March 2019- We collected donations to help E.P.I.C Elementary School keep their classrooms clean and their children healthy through this flu and allergy season. We also went in a disinfected the school

Feb 2019-We partnered up with UAB’s Blaze Radio, and NPHC for an album release party for CEO and Founder WESCAM, he decided that this would be a great opportunity to collect water for Flint, MI’s unsafe water crisis

We participated in the social media and service campaign for MLK Week January 2019 and served at the events the city hosted. (no photos)

August 2018, we helped upcoming freshmen move into their dorms at UAB

August 2018-We had the opportunity to donate backpacks to the Early Learning Center of the First Church Birmingham at their back to school drive

For Father’s Day in 2018 we decided to spend it serving the people at Jimmy Hale Mission

2018&2019- We put on a program called the Black Excellence Awards, that allowed talented students to perform and be presented with student-voted and panel-voted awards

In April 2018, RS took a road trip to Jacksonville to help with the aftermath of a tornado that swept through the town. We even got a chance to help revamp some of the buildings

March 2018- Our team went to volunteer at Glen Iris Family Literacy & Arts Night to lend a helping hand!

Feb 2018 RS had a Black History Month Book Drive to collect reading material for local elementary school students

We hosted an event called “What’s Your Worth” focusing on budding entrepreneurs and helping them learn how to “set their price” by networking with other local entrepreneurs

2018- Our volunteers and Community Outreach Coordinator assisted Habitat for Humanity in building homes for members of our community

In November of 2017, RS conducted a toiletry, coat and blanket drive for the ladies at Pathways Women’s Shelter for Christmas

In September 2017, Hurricane Irma, Jose & Harvey heavily effected the South. RS threw a Hurricane Relief Party to collect donations & canned food to help hurting areas

In July 27, 2017 The Regenerate Society was incorporated.
